On July 27, 2026, we’ll discontinue the current Build experience.
If you have Advanced Projects—projects you created by prompting AI to generate an app—please download them before July 27, 2026. After that date, Advanced Projects that haven’t been downloaded will be permanently deleted and can no longer be recovered.
Important: To keep your project, you must download it from the Mimo web version (https://mimo.org/web/build) before July 27, 2026. Projects that are not downloaded before this date cannot be recovered.
What’s changing?
We’re discontinuing the current Build experience, including:
- Advanced Projects hosted by Mimo
- AI-powered app generation in Build
- AI credits used within Build
- Related infrastructure and services
As a result, you will no longer be able to create, edit, publish, or run Advanced Projects after July 27, 2026.
This change doesn’t affect Playgrounds. You’ll still be able to use Playgrounds to practice coding and build your own projects.
What do I need to do?
If you want to keep an Advanced Project you’ve created in Build:
- Download it before July 27, 2026.
- Host it yourself using a hosting provider of your choice.
Projects can only be downloaded from the web version of Mimo. Downloading projects is not supported on iOS or Android.
For detailed instructions, see https://docs.mimo.org/downloading.
For most learners, we recommend Vercel, which offers a generous free tier and a straightforward deployment process.

Projects you started from a blank project are Playgrounds. Playgrounds are not affected by this change and will remain available.
- On the web: Only Advanced Projects are affected. Playgrounds will continue to be available.
- On iOS and Android: All projects in the Build tab are Advanced Projects and are therefore affected. Playgrounds created from the Practice tab are not affected.

Will Playgrounds still be available?
Yes. Playgrounds aren't affected by this change and will remain available.
